Today, I stopped at Mario's Cart to grab a quick bite. Whenever I try a new food venue, I always order the burrito. I find that if you can make a burrito - a simple meal, yet easily screw-up-able - you can make anything. The Chorizo burrito being the hardest one to perfect. (Too much spice, or one pinch of salt too many and it's done for).
Mario's Cart did not disappoint. Living in Chicago, there's a lot of competition when it comes to burritos and tacos - and in Chicago they are done the right way. Meat. Cilantro. Onions. That's all you need...or so I thought. This baby had chorizo, potatoes, a perfect amount of onions, a small bit of cheese and tomatoes, and some magical spice that I can only describe as a party for your entire mouth. It does have a last minute spice that kicks you on the way down, but only for a minute. You can handle it!
The best part for price conscious folks, like myself, is that it was $5 for an 8 inch burrito. $5. You can't beat that.

Mario's Food Truck has been up and running for three years. The father/son team - both named Mario were introduced to Wolff's Flea Market in Palatine. Now that they are in their second year with Wolff's Rosemont, I'm sure I'm not over exaggerating when I say that it's a favorite among the Flea Community. And with prices ranging from $2.50 for a taco, to $10 for a HUGE Cubano Stack - which is Mario Junior's favorite, it'll be your favorite too.
