We will be taking an even closer look at electronics. Wolff's Flea Market already doesn't allow many Apple accessories to be sold- real or fake because we won't authenticate.
Much can be determined by just looking at the packaging. Many articles and videos are out there on this topic. Do your own research.
Our own ongoing research takes a lot of time and depicts an inconsistent commerce situation for a few reasons.
First, the fakes seized in this bust are commonly seen in online marketplaces, social media, kiosks, small stand alone electronics stores and more without repercussions. So, people may think it's ok. Yet, we feel tasked to identify and remove these items from our market.
Second, is the ongoing question for all types of products: How similar does "look-alike" packaging need to be to cause infringement, confusion and therefore be considered counterfeit? Is it a monumental undertaking? At times, yes. We educate 1 vendor at a time and hope they share it along the line with others.

These listings are FREE!  We love this concept because buyers and sellers are able to meet in a neutral location at the market (must have a selling space-no parking lot sales). With hot weather upon us, many of you will choose to bring a canopy to shield you and your merchandise from the sun. It is very important that when setting up your booth for the day that the first tasks you attend to are your CANOPY & UMBRELLA WEIGHTS. We understand you are eager to unpack your merchandise, but if you are using a canopy, the first priority is safety. Do not leave your weights in your vehicle "to set up later". You may get busy and forget. Wind and wind gusts are an inherent part of of being outside and can occur at any time.
