Think Outside the Box This Holiday Season

                                                  Holiday Shopping at its Best
Lowest prices of the season, store coupons, early bird specials, free shipping, 1-day sales, and 20% off… These phrases lure us into department stores with the mindset that we will get the best possible deal on gifts and other holiday fare. We feel pretty smart after saving money on the items we want and need. Now that Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday have passed, where else can consumers turn to for the best of the rest of their shopping?
We vote for shopping at flea markets, and give you four reasons to shop at Palatine’s only flea market-Wolff’s at 1775 N. Rand Rd.
Number 1: New Merchandise. Think outside the box! Did you realize that our over 300 vendors are able to offer you quality brand new merchandise like hand-made jewelry, critter hats, gourmet food, fine art, clothing, computer accessories, purses (quality brands-but don’t come looking for knock-off designer items here), Avon, scarves, electronics, tools, toys, kitchen goods, reading glasses, holiday décor and more? Pricing is superior because our vendors are small business entrepreneurs who work all week to collect the best deals for their weekend customers. Some items may be past season in pristine packaging, or someone’s own unused previous purchase. Perhaps an item is in an open box, has a little ding, or has no packaging. The quality is the same, and the only thing “less” about this merchandise is the price!
Number 2: Gently Used Merchandise. For the environmentally conscious consumer who like the concepts of "Reuse, Recycle, Repurpose", think even further outside the box. Many items offered at our market are gently used. Remember, once a package is opened or an item is used, if only a couple of times, its value greatly diminishes. It may still be in perfectly usable condition, and is now available at an even more perfect price for you. You’ll be able to decorate and furnish your home with “like-new” useful and practical items such as CDs, DVD's, dishes, desks, books, etc.
Number 3: Merchandise with a story. Everyone loves a good story. While the antiques, collectibles, estate sale treasures, storage locker and other items may not be able to talk, they share a rich and mysterious history. Fine crystal, Depression glass, stamps, vintage clothing, record albums, hoards, antique furniture, advertising signs, books, coins and sports memorabilia have an aura of unique, rare, one-of a kind quality.
Number 4: The treasure hunt is on! So, grab a friend and try a flea market. You will enjoy a special shopping experience, save money, meet some very interesting vendors, and go home with a story about your find.
Wolff’s Flea Market is open every Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 4pm. Santa, Kids' Day and Mitten Drive on December 11. Special holiday hours on Friday December 23 8am-4pm. Just north of Dundee Rd. in the former Menard’s building at Old Hicks. Visit our website http://wolffs.com/ or call 847-524-9590. SEE YOU AT THE FLEA!
